Changes to NSW Road Rules

From 1 July 2008, there will be changes to the NSW Road Rules. There are some minor amendments to existing rules and there are also new rules which will attract fines and/or demerit points. Practice drives this week planner

From 1 July new licence conditions apply to learner drivers. One of the new requirements for learner drivers is the need to complete at least 120 hours of supervised driving (including 20 hours of night driving) before being eligible to apply for their P1 licence. The planner has been desinged to assist learner drivers to schedule practice drives and provides other useful information. The planner is laminated so that it can be reused. Mobile phones and driving

It is illegal to drive or ride a vehicle when using a hand-held mobile phone. This includes talking, sending or receiving SMS messages, playing games or any other function on your phone. As of July 2007, learner and P1 licence holders and provisional riders must not use any function of a mobile phone when driving or riding.
